Paintings by
Jacklyn Karabaich

Jacklyn received three years of classical oil painting instruction while living in Belgium.  There she also learned Theatrical Scenic Painting with a local theatre group.  Upon her return to the United States she returned to college where she majored in Fine Art.  In the last two years she has studied or painted with L. Diane Johnson and Ray Roberts and locally with Donna Aldridge and Bill and Carol McCall, who she considers her mentor.

Her strong imagery and vibrant colors at first excite and then let the viewer pause, relax, and enjoy.  “Oil painting is a continual learning process, and each painting has its own challenges to overcome.”  “It’s not what you paint, but how you paint it.”

“I try to take at least one workshop every year to see and paint better.”  “When I return from a workshop with all of the new sights fresh in mind that is when I see the most growth in my art.”
