Images Art
Gallery was incorporated in June 1988 as a non-profit
cooperative and today is composed of over 35 exhibiting
artists from the Greater Kansas City area. Images Art
Gallery has been in it’s present location since September
2009. Member artists exhibit paintings, photography,
crafted jewelry, sculpture, pottery, turned wood and fiber
art.
Every Third
Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm Images hosts a Featured Artist
opening reception, which coincides with the Downtown
Overland Park’s Art Market event. The artwork of the
Featured Artists remain on exhibition for four weeks.
Artists who are
considering membership in Images Art Gallery are encouraged
to visit the gallery and talk to the members. Each member
participates in staffing the gallery once or twice a month
and works on a committee. A membership application is on the
gallery’s website.
