Olathe Visual
Artists
|
Nothing but fun!
You should come and visit the Olathe Visual Artists
at their next meeting. It is a good group, seriously
interested in their art.

The Olathe Visual Artists was originally
formed in 1978 as the Olathe Arts Council. In 1987 OVA joined with the
theater, band , orchestra and chorus to form the Olathe Arts Alliance, which
unites all the arts in our community.
OVA is a non-profit organization funded in part by
contributions of members and money raised by the Olathe Arts Alliance which is
then matched by the City of Olathe. Dues are $20.00 annually with a $15.00
initiation fee. OVA funds an annual scholarship awarded to an Olathe high school
senior in the visual arts.
All persons interested in the visual arts in Olathe and
surrounding areas are welcome to attend monthly meetings. Held on the fourth
Thursday of the month at Cedar Lake Village, a retirement community located at
15325 Lone Elm Road (just beyond the YMCA) Olathe,
Kansas, at 7:00
pm. Each meeting has a different program with outdoor meetings in June and July
and a reception in January. To each meeting, members bring a work of art
for discussion and enjoy refreshments.
